High times

The thought of work tomorrow drains me

It separates me from my woods

An eight hour leap of time through teatherment

Financial angst attachments

107 miles post work until I reach my zen

A climb to saddle the ridge

Echo of the gorge on the right

Tree canopies and curtains on my left

A declaration of solitude that no one else will hear

A sunrise only meant for me

A fire to roast after I ask the trees’ permissions

My fire is for warmth and food. Not to be used for burning your branches”

Only deadfall will be used. No saw will touch your fine bark”

I say this every time.

Because the trees know me

I can feel them exhale when I arrive

Hugs and high fives all around

Always thank the trees

And bless your water

Ahhh coffee with a breezy sunrise will make that tetherment loosen it’s sticky vocational grip

Let a wet tentacle in frigid water

Leggo my leg yo

Coffee

And then a daydream
